Christopher A. Cavnar founded Genesis Building Systems on a simple conviction: that the people who do the work should own every outcome. The best project results come from leadership that listens to its field teams. 25 years in mechanical work, a Navy veteran, and a lifelong student of the systems that keep buildings alive. Genesis offers a way to contract that keeps customers in consistent communication, team morale high, people empowered, and jobs that finish with great support and attitudes on all sides of the construction tiers.
The strongest projects start with clear scope, coordinated responsibilities, and someone who stays close enough to keep the work moving.

From the Engine Room to Building Systems.
Chris brings 25 years of mechanical experience across residential, commercial and industrial work, and 15 years in commercial and industrial automation. With degrees in HVAC/R and mechanical engineering, his career spans Controls Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Controls Sales Engineer and Automation Construction Manager, with more than $35 million in commercial BAS contracts.
